Love Mallory Monroe and David Lawson

First Class Scoundrel is set in the Caribbean, so it already had my interest. Love Mallory Monroe and David Lawson, she was left at the alter on her wedding day, he was cheated on by his ex-wife. Not everything is as it appears to be. This is a great short second chance at love story. I was looking for more. As always Liv Morris, delivers another great read.

I think Liv Morris writes with such sophistication. Add in a touch naughtiness and flirty fun and you get a sweet, passionate and entertaining standalone romance in this novella! Mallory Monroe has been jilted by her fianc�, and to get her mind off things, she takes relaxing trip to St. Croix. What begins on a plane with David Lawson in a jolt of lust leads to a mistaken situation, a little unintended naughtiness and a passionate night neither forget. This was a very satisfying, quick read that is a lovely, complete story. Liv does a great job wrapping up the novella in a unique way that I highly enjoyed. I was having so much fun that I could have continued to read more on Mallory and David. Also, the location is perfect for the summer. I wanted to lounge on the beach with my margarita watching this love story unfold. Liv never disappoints in her writing. I highly recommend all of her work!

Money well-spent

There aren't many books that I read through and then turn right around and re-read, but this is one of them. Such a "wealth" of information on the subject of what to do when faced with a sudden wealth event. My second time through, I will be taking notes and making lists. I found the book to be very wise and comprehensive. The companion web-site has not launched yet at the time I am writing this, but promises to be full of resources such as recommendations for advisors and tools to gain a better understanding of oneself and money habits through self tests. I believe in being true to myself, but to do that, I must first know myself. I found this book really opened my eyes to some truths about myself and has made me more aware of my strengths and weaknesses. in summary,buying this book was money well-spent!

I read over 100 business/finance/self-help books per year and I must say, this book is one of the best books that I have read in a long, long time.

Not only does it offer tons of practical advice for sudden wealth recipients, it also dives deeply into the often overlooked psychological forces which influence the recipients of sudden wealth and their families/friends. The author has a way of distilling complex ideas into actionable and easy-to-implement steps, which makes this book far more powerful than most other books on wealth.

I that would highly recommend this book for anyone who wants practical advice on all aspects of how to protect, grow and manage wealth.

Great guide to migraines and how to combat them.

This book is loaded with some great information regarding migraines. Many people probably don't even realize they are having one, they may just chalk it up to stress and a headache. This book will help you not only identify the symptoms of a migraine (including at each of the four stages of the migraine: Prodrome, Aura, Headache & Postdrome) but will give you great advice about how to combat them. The author discusses what a migraine is neurologically, the various causes, triggers, symptoms as well as medications and other remedies that can be used to prevent/ease them.

Clearly written, clever ideas

This is a great book. It clearly describes a training evaluation methodology in enough step-by-step detail to be able to turn around and apply it after reading the book. In addition to describing specific examples of the method's use during the book, there are also four case studies at the end...this helped me see ways to apply this method from a variety of angles. The method seems straight-forward and practical, and the book is reader-friendly. I've already recommended this to others.

Good content, but reader-unfriendly binding

Good: The content is good and the paper is of high quality.

BAD: There is no way to open the book flat (not even close). Two hands plus a deliberate effort are required to keep the book open. This is not a subtle problem. Luckily, there are few photos that span both pages; those that do are mismatched in the middle as no offset from the center has been applied (I don't understand why publishers keep doing this year after year). I don't know if the book could be broken apart and then custom bound, as the inner margins are small.

This book is an excellent purchase for anyone learning German. I am a visual learner and this book really helped me learn grammar because I could visually see the picture with the words I was learning. The book has many photos and use a wide variety of colors. Seeing the images also allows you to know you're using the correct noun when your trying to write a sentence in German. If I learn a third language I will be ordering the book for that language from this company.

This is the Coolest Book Ever for this German-Learner

I am learning German using Rosetta Stone Version 3: German Level 1, 2 & 3 Set with Audio Companion and so total immersion and learning via images and photos works for me. When I started to realize that I needed way more vocabulary than Rosetta Stone was offering me as I visited Berlin, Germany, I remembered that DK offered some awesome visual dictionaries. So, I checked Amazon to see if they have any foreign language visual dictionaries and they have this one and it is completely comprehensive and includes just about every single photo/German word association imaginable, including technical words. It is amazing to just page through and also amusing to see how literal German is, the way they have made a very literal language work in the modern world with modern things.

About the Author
Bruce Clayton is a well-known survival expert, author of Life After Doomsday, Fallout Survival and Thinking About Survival, coauthor of Survival Books and Urban Alert, and former publisher of The Survivalist Directory. Dr. Clayton is a state-certified instructor of radiological defense techniques and fallout shelter management in California and has been trained in disaster shelter management and damage assessment by the American Red Cross. He is a former editor of INFO-RAY, the newsletter of the California Radiological Defense Officers' Association, and has been a contributing editor to Survive magazine, Survival Guide magazine and the Survival Tomorrow newsletter.

Great book for getting ready for the worst senario...

This is THE best book on the subject of Nuclear war and other major disasters I have ever read. Dr. Clayton walks you through everything nuclear, from effects of air bursts, ground bursts, EMP, to every other nuclear topic imaginable. While famous for its nuclear information, this book is writen as a primer to surviving ANY disaster. Our Motto here at Alpha Group is(as you know) "It doesn't matter what causes the situation, you should be prepared to survive it". This book fits perfectly with that philosophy.
I consider this book one of the "MUST HAVE" books in any survival library. Not only does this book contain fantastic and interesting reading, but with its dozens of charts, lists, drawings and photos, this book serves as an excellent reference on surviving ANY major disaster. It is one of the few reference books I keep in my personal bookshelf beside the computer. When I read this book for the first time I was amazed by what I THOUGHT I knew. I was VERY wrong in many of my beliefs. Even the US government used Dr. Clayton's research to revise their policies in some areas.

Excellent primer on nuclear war and catastrophy survival

This book is a great beginning on understanding the logic of preparedness and the fundamentals of survival. The information is still current and the author's assesment of what a nuclear war might really be like is the single best feature of the book. I did not believe it until a read the same information from the Office of Technology Assesment [U.S. Goverment Publication] "Nuclear War; Three Scenarios"

THE Bible of Survivalism

This book was published during the nuclear arms race of the Carter and Reagan years, when the prospect of nuclear war looked much worse than it does now. Still...with the Y2K bug looming and countries like India and Pakistan now possessing the Bomb, you owe it to yourself to have a copy of this, "just in case". Besides covering the possible effects of nuclear war, it also covers a large variety of natural and man-made disasters, from floods to hurricanes to a financial crash to nuclear power plant accidents. Includes information on do-it-yourself emergency medicine, gardening and food storage, and shelter, that could be applicable to any number of potential disasters, not just nuclear war. What I like best about this book is it provides all this information without even a hint of the right-wing extremist politics that often infests other survivalist literature (the political slant here if anything seems to be closer to that of _The Mother Earth News_). As companion books to this I would highly recommend the _Foxfire_ books on traditional southern Appalachian skills, Cresson Kearny's _Nuclear War Survival Skills_, and David Werner's _Where There Is No Doctor_.
